When using older browsers such as Internet Explorer 10 and below, Safari 6.04 and below it is likely that you will see a response similar to the one shown below.
The reason for this is because we have disabled all SSL/TLS protocols prior TLS 1.2 because of newly discovered insecurities in those protocols which could lead to data leaks if we were to continue using them.
This is a security issue which applies to the entire Internet and as such, most modern web browsers have either deprecated or ceased to support these insecure protocols already. However many older operating systems and browsers cannot be or will not be updated by their suppliers, instead, the recommendation is to upgrade your web browser to the very latest version that your operating system supports.
A full list of old browsers and operating systems we do not support is as follows:
IE 6 / XP
IE 7 / Vista
IE 8 / XP
IE 8-10 / Win 7
IE 10 / Win Phone 8.0
Safari 5.1.9 / OS X 10.6.8
Safari 6.0.4 / OS X 10.8.4
