Certain aspects of the recruitment platform we provide to employers allows employers to keep your data within a "Talent Pool" if they feel you may be suited to other jobs they may have in the future.

Under certain circumstances, the employer may also feel the need to send some or all of your application data to a third party. Where some third parties can process your data under "Legitimate Interest", such as Criminal background checking services, others may not and would require that you provide "Explicit Consent" to the employer to use your data in the way they have requested of you. To achieve explicit consent, you must be able to make an informed decision on the request and the GDPR mandates this.

When you first apply to a vacancy we manage, our software will either show or automatically send you a copy of our privacy statement as it pertains to you. If the employer has provided us with their privacy statement, then we prepend their statement with ours so you have both as soon as possible either before or just after you make an application.

For the management of applications, explicit consent is then defined as an applicant making an explicit gesture or action that is clear to all parties that they are giving consent as it pertains to the requirements outlined by the privacy statement and/or any subsequent request for consent.
